Course Content for Free and Open Source GIS and RS

Free and Open Source Community is covering concerns of GIS And Remote Sensing community. For the community accustomed to use user friendly commercial software packages, the open source tools seems difficult goal. This is due to new standards, scripting languages, execution environment and operating system that is not so familiar. The standardization process is also not conveniently followed by many as it seems more technical and away from the application.

This course is therefore designed to introduce basic concepts related to open source projects.
